Pop-Up Collective Presents
"REFORM"

When: Friday, May 1st, 2015 from 6-11PM (One night only)
Location: 3339 Central Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106

The Pop-Up Collective has curated an exceptional one night only show “REFORM”, featuring a finely curated array of visual art. The exhibit opens Friday, May 1st, 2015 from 6-11PM at 3339 Central Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106, which is a vacant 4,500sq foot prime real-estate property for rent in the Nob Hill area. We are working in collaboration with David Chavez at Base 5 Retail to help promote this outstanding space.

Each artist will be showcasing an original series specifically created for this show, as well as generously donating a piece of art for a silent auction benefiting, “Rolling Clean”.  All proceeds for the silent auction will help raise money for this innovative mobile hygiene service intended to help our local homeless population. With San Francisco being the first city, Albuquerque will be the second city in our nation to implement the portable shower and bathroom service for the homeless if the bill is passed; so please come out and support this unique charity!

“REFORM” will feature works by seven outstanding visual artists. Jodie Herrera (curator/painter), Angie Poynter (curator/painter), Josh Schriber (curator/painter), Thomas Haag (mixed-media), Delano Garcia (mixed-media), Anthony Evans (photographer), and Adam Bustamante (painter). The exhibition will range in styles from provocative figurative forms to abstract multimedia works and alluring photographic images. Each artist is a prolific member of the arts community exemplifying art that pushes boundaries with intent and masterful skill. This event will feature dance performances directed by Cloudface, music by DJ Halycon, and the Sketch Monster will also be performing live Etch a Sketch art. Nob Hill Bar and Grill is sponsoring our cause by catering appetizers for the event and libations will be provided by Tractor Brewery.

The Pop-Up Collective utilizes Albuquerque's vacant or undiscovered spaces to unveil some of the city's most talented emerging and mid-career artists, as well as providing promotion to local venues and businesses. By transforming spaces into interactive community venues, our focus is to create an exceptional grassroots show experience for both the exhibiting artists and the patrons who attend and support our events. This will be the fourth innovative event of many more to come.
